These positions are voluntary and relate specifically to our 2009 10th Anniversary Celebrations
Information Officer
Glasgow the Caring City creates lots of information which we need to share with members of the public, business and industry in order develop our organisation. Managing this information into packages of news worthy stories, development reports and general updates, requires an individual with skills, knowledge and above all else, the drive to become one of the team. Marketing Officer
Marketing is everything and developing Glasgow the Caring City into a brand is a task which we will strive towards over the next 5 years. The first step on this path is developing a marketing strategy which will set us on course for an even more prosperous future. As such, we are currently recruiting for a marketing individual who has knowledge and experience of similar campaigns but above all else is enthusiastic and keen to forge a new pathway for our charity and themselves. Administration Officer
Administration is more than just filing and typing. At Glasgow the Caring City we require someone who can keep us on course and properly arm us with the right information, presented in the right manner and at the right times. The volunteer in charge of this role will be proactive in developing their own remit and will work closely, and regularly, with other staff to identify needs within the organisation and match those needs to solutions. HTML Officer
HTML is the language which our website speaks. To the untrained eye, we simply look at a website and see the visual information which it present. However, we require a candidate of calibre who can be proactive in developing our site including content, format and facilities, keeping Caring City on track with the latest technology. Barra's of Hope Coordinator
Barra's of Hope is a new project by Glasgow the Caring City which is designed to both promote the organisation and develop our donor community through the installation of collection Barra's in schools, business and offices around Scotland.The coordinator will have responsibility for developing the project, identifying new clients and of course managing the delivery of this high impact, new scheme. Online Shop Keeper
Glasgow the Caring City has been trading online for several months now with great success but we need someone in a dedicated position who can sell on behalf of the charity. Shopaholics, Spendthrifts and Budding eBayer's this is a terrific position for you. We need someone who can bring our online shop to life with items ranging from the very small to the very large but all in aid of our charity.
